Ride the Rhino 2011

Justin and Heidi from Renosterveld MTB events entrusted Pixelate Productions to be the official even photographers for the Ride the Rhino. We were nervous yet very excited about our first event being a 3-day stage race/fun ride. Well, what a blast, from Langebaan to Durbanville over 3 days, through “hardened dirt roads” and nature reserves, up little mountains and down the other side we came home with well over 6000 images. We captured the event and we captured the moments.

Please note that we cannot take a photo of everyone everywhere but we definitely tried our best to capture as many shots as possible.

If you are interested in a Rider/Event CD for only R200, please send an e-mail to info[at]pixelate.co.za with the following information:

- Rider number

- Rider name & Surname

- Full contact details

- Address where we can send CD

The rider CD will contain about 300 or so images summarizing the event and then as many photo’s of “you” as possible. Please allow a few weeks for the CD to be compiled, we will be in contact via sms and e-mail.

Cellar2Cellar Fun Run/Walk

Pixelate got themselves to their 2nd event this last weekend – The Cellar2Cellar Fun Run/Walk – and boy, what a great event. The event took place as the Innesense Cellar to Cellar Fun Run/walk. As per last year, the 12km route took the participants to the wine farms of the Paradyskloof and Blaauwklippen valleys. The event will start at Blaauwklippen, winding through the vineyards to Vriesenhof, followed by Dornier, then off to Kleinood, to Waterford and lastly to Stellenzicht, and finishing again at Blaauwklippen.

The event comprised of 2 trail runs, the first for the serious runner aiming for a time and the 2nd was for wine tasting at the various farms, oja, you must also remember that the best dressed would win their weight in wine.. bring it on!!

It was superb and hats off to Innesense for supporting the event, their beverages suited the occasion to the tea! A huge well done to Pieter and Agne from 4×4 teambuilding who put this event together. If I am not mistaken, the 2010 event had 150 entrants and the 2011 event had over 400. That is really well done and it shows in the quality of the event.

Jonkershoek Mountain Warrior

We just love being outdoors, when the Jonkershoek Mountain Warrior came to our valley here in Stellenbosch, we took the opportunity to just head up the mountain and snap away. This was the 1st running of this spectacular trail run and I can tell you now, next year entries will be filled very quickly. The route traverses the well known Jonkershoek Nature Reserve and the views are just spectacular. Day 2 is run on the base of the Simonsberg Mountain (we did not get to the 2nd day).

Well done to Rowan from Team Ascics and Hanlie from Team Salomon Jeep. Great running in this magical environment.
